Judith & Gerald – Vintage Boho Wedding Photographer Vienna
The Boho Vintage Wedding (as they call it) of Judith and Gerald came a little late in their lives. Hard to believe that the two met already in 1988 in Vienna, Austria in a disco. At that time Gerald was in High School exams stress and said to Judith that he just has little time and will not report until April next year. Well – what can you say – of course Judith did not believe it anymore!
At Easter, she had long since forgotten the whole thing – but obviously not Gerald. He really got in touch with her again and only a short time later they became a couple. A marriage was never an issue for them, as they both thought that a good relationship does not necessarily depend on a marriage certificate. Even then it was clear to them that it must be something special when they get married (and it should definitely be in the south).
In 2015 it was time. After 26 years, they decided to cancel the “Wilde” from their marriage and to marry. They got married in Playa del Carmen with a shaman in the jungle right at a cenote with a subsequent trash the dress – and nobody knew about it. However, as a shamanic ceremony is not legally recognized in Austria, they also planned their official wedding in the summer of 2016 with a civil ceremony. Of course the two of them wanted to invite their families and all their friends. It was important for them to do something extraordinary that reflects their personalities. They succeeded wonderfully.
On the 2nd of July 2016 it was time – I was allowed to accompany her Vintage Bohemian Shabby Country Party as her wedding photographer in the unique Wein & Gut Rathbauer in Kottingbrunn! It was a wonderful big party with lots of great people!
