Kristine & Philip – Industrial Wedding Photographer Norway
I can remember when I was out for a walk with my dog on a quiet cool morning near Vienna. My mobile phone informed me of a new e-mail.
I looked at it immediately and discovered a request for an unique wedding in Heggedal, not far from Oslo in Norway. I knew: That can only be amazing!
After getting to know Kristine and Philip on Skype and learning more about the details of their Industrial Chic Vintage wedding, I started to count the days until their wedding.
So I took a flight to Oslo in July, where I was a few years ago in summertime. But this time it was extremely hot – usually scandinavian countries are not surprising with such temperatures.
Marry in an old factory
The day before the wedding, I met with the groomsmen and the bride and groom at the wedding venue (Heggedal Fabrikker) to get an idea of this unique place. And I have to say: I was blown away immediately.
An old, abandoned factory where the ceremony was to take place. On the walls still old, partly chipped paint. Cobwebs on the windows. The dusty smell of history. This location was as authentic as hardly any before. All this has cast me under its own spell. Industrial style mixed with vintage details.
The next day started in an exciting way. Together with Kristine and her maid of honor I drove from Asker to Heggedal to the venue where Philip and his brother already got ready at the same time.
The first coming together of both that day happened on a bridge. It was absolutely emotional and the beginning of an unforgettable day for bride and groom and all guests.
I have to admit, that I rarely laughed so much with a bridal couple and had so much fun. Their joy of living, their positive attitude and, above all, their genuine love for each other are simply worth the mention. I am more than proud to have accompanied this beautiful day as their chosen wedding photographer.
And now have fun with this wedding in Norway…
